My boyfriend says we shouldn't kiss often.?

So my boyfriend is super romantic when it comes to our relationship and treats me like gold, but sometimes I feel like he is too "sweet" and doesn't like things to get too wild or dirty. After a month of going out, we finally had our first make out and it was soo nice. It went on for a while and he told me he really enjoyed it. But a few days after, he told me that he doesn't want to make out all the time because he wants to keep it special. I understand what he wants, but he is thinking once every two weeks or so. He is such a good kisser and I want to do it again. I don't want him to think I'm too forward or weird for wanting to make out more often than he suggests we do though. Should I talk to him about it? Or just leave it the situation as it is?
