Why does everyone like my hair so much when its so horrible?

like i can never get it right and then a stupid hair dresser made me look like a twit and made it really short so we went to another hair dresser and he got it nice but i cant get it right and i've tried loads of hair styles but i just cant get it to look nice!its 10 at night and ive got school tomorrow why does everyone like my hair so much when its horrible i don't have Straight hair or cirly hair i have straight then a wave then madness! and my left side looks good but my right side is completely different the patten thickness the texture! what am i meant to do its to short to but in a ponytail now
