My & my bf's kiss was sucky. what to do?

Right, so my friend kissed him before, and she told me he is not a good kisser. Now we are dating with him and our first kiss was not good. We were both pretty nervous though And we tried like several times taht day and it sucked >.> lol but we really like each other. Is it gonna be that sucky for us all the time now? idk how to 'fix' this. I know that he didn't like it either lol. I just wonder, can it be becuz we were nervous and it is gonna get better? That friend that i talked about, said that her and her current bf had the same prob,but now it's fine. Yeah i talk to her a lot x) Ty in advance.
