Ive come to honestly hate the society we are currently living in. Where are the morals, sense of commitment, pride for hard work, family values?? We now live in a society where it is more exceptable to divorce your spouse over little issues than it is to work through them to solidify the sanctity of marriage. Car stereo not working?

Ok I have a 64 chevy truck and it didn't have any wiring ran for a stereo. So I mounted a stereo and speakers. Hooked the yellow wire to the battery, red to the ignition and black wire grounded to the cab in a good place that's bear metal. Hooked it to the battery cause the teminal in the fuse box was broke. I'm not getting anything out of the radio. So I tried switching the red and yellow wire thinking I had it wrong and still nothing. Stereo was working when I pulled it out of my other truck a few months ago. Who knows what could be wrong??

2 fighter jets flew east near Buffalo, NY yesterday 6/26/11 at about 5:45pm. Where are they from or going?

I'm in Cheektowaga, NY, an eastern suburb of Buffalo, NY. By the time I saw them after thinking they didn't sound like typical jets flying overhead after taking off from Buffalo Niagara International, they were already 1/2 - 3/4 of a mile east of my position. They were about 2,000 feet up. From what I could tell, they looked like A10 Warthogs. They both seemed to have the large tail section and turbines mounted at the rear section of the fuselage near the tail. They weren't moving as if they were in a hurry (scrambling), but certainly were moving at a decent clip. I can't say for sure that these were indeed A10s, but at the time I saw them, that's what I thought they were. Any idea what air bases in the Northeast US have A10s or somewhat similar aircraft? I'm not finding much accurate information at the moment. We get the occasional C130 (Niagara Air Reserve Station) passing over, but very rarely do we get a fighter, let alone 2, zipping through our airspace.

How to put shelves up using only finishing nails?

i have a set of 4 shelves that i had gt a long time ago. I now know where i want to put them but the problem is that the mounting hardware that was supposed to come with it is missing from the pack and all i have on hand are some finishing nails. I tried using two nails in each hole since the shelves already have the same type of fixture. so i tried attaching the shelves to the nails but it would sag and the nails would get pushed in as i would try to attach the shelves. Laredo Side Mirror with backplate...?

A couple of days ago, my side mirror popped off while I was backing out of the garage. The mirror and the backplate and the sorrounding plastic mold thing popped out but the actual mounted part didn't get damaged. Anyway, when I put everything back in the mirror was loose, and it went bye bye while i was on a highway. The plastic mold and the mount are still there ok but I don't have the mirror or the backplate (the thing the mirror is attached to that plugs into the mounted piece). I looked on ebay, it looks like people only sell the glass...without the damn backplate. What do I do? Do I really have to buy a whole new side mirror assembly? Oh yea, it is a 2006 JGC Laredo.

jimmy jones is right. just invert (flip the fan the other direction) on the side fan. tip: screw the fan so that it's pointing at the cpu (the point of the side fan is to blow cold air at the cpu heat sink fan). Your cpu temp is perfectly fine. It can go up to 70 on extreme load and you'll still be ok. Case cooling is important but is over-rated. To be honest, if you core temps never get to 60, I'd take the side fan off if it's noisy. The back fan is taking hot air out and any holes/vents on the case will take air in which is usually sufficient cooling. Extra cooling is only necessary if you want to do extreme overclocking. As for not being able to control your fans, you'll have to refer to your manuals and make sure that everything is plugged into the correct slots. As for your audio jacks, make sure you check your connectors to your motherboard/case. I would help more, but you should be able to figure it out with trial and error. Congrats on your first build, and good luck.

Believe it or not, I have two friends- each adopted but each has a different story. One wasn't told she was adopted until she figured it out when she was 14. The other was adopted as a baby and every year they celebrate her birthday and also the "family day". She knew that she had a different birth mom but her real mom and dad cared for her very much and those were who she lived with. The one who found out accidentally was pissed. I have 2 male pitbulls, one 3 year old blue nose and a 1 and a half year old gator pit, that both havent been neutured. Is my security camera going bad or is someone distorting it?

I have a home security camera system. It is wired, weather proof, and has night vision. The wiring is mounted along the side of my home and I made sure to set it in the camera's view so there is no way for anyone to tamper with it without being caught on camera. My question is... is it possible for someone to distort or cause an interference with my camera from a distance and without being near the camera's wiring? I just replaced my 4 cylinder engine with a straight 6 engine and would like to start it up before i put everything back together. I have all the wiring correct as far as i can tell. I only hooked up the essentials to start an engine and i cant get anything to happen. I have a 2007 vehicle. Every winter I replace these tires with Snow tires and every spring I switch back to normal tires. I only have 1 set of wheels. The service technician at the local store told me the tires were too old to put on my wheels at 6 years old and were a hazzard.

Fluorescent light does not start unless it is shaken?

I have a circular fluorescent light fixture, mounted in my basement ceiling over my desk. When I switch it on, 80-90% of the time it flashes once and then does not turn on. Is there any way to play/install Portal 2 without Steam?

I bought a retail copy of Portal 2 last Wednesday and installed it onto my computer. The game is registered on my Steam account since I had to use Steam to install it. My sister wants to play the game too. I refuse to let her on my computer for various reasons. I also don't want her to have access to my account. I can only afford the one copy of the game and my sister, being the cheap twit she is, won't pay for anything on her own. If I just install it through my Steam, it will be on her computer but it won't work unless my account is the one logged in while she plays. I'm not so concerned about installing it without Steam as I am being able to play it without Steam. Is there any way that I can install it or at least have her able to play the game without needing to access my account?

Is this workplace harrassment?

I work overnight on a mental health unit. Recently, my manager use still photos from surveillance cameras mounted on the unit and laid them in the employee common area to highlight no-nos for employees. There were comments written such as 'badge not visible', 'no shoes on', 'not compliant with dress code', etc. One of my colleagues removed the photos and complained. I still to this day have not seen them since they were only visible to others while I was off 2 days. Noone has approached me from management to discuss the violations of policy. I am certainly not the only person who goes shoeless at night, or any of the other policy violations, but I find it interesting that they singled me out, seeing that there is a push to get rid of alot of the veteran staff in favor of new blood. There also appears to be an animosity toward me here by the new administration, I may have upstaged the new manager days before by de-escalating a group of clients in a situation that he lost control of. Of legal note: I work in Massachusetts, not sure what the laws here say about this. Also, the cameras are intended to protect staff and clients in the event of a restraint, but increasingly have been used to 'catch' staff in policy violations. The video feed goes to the main hospital; we are a satellite 60 miles away.
